Multi-Rake Screen
The multi-rake screen is a type of fully automatic mechanical bar screen made of stainless steel, designed to remove solid waste from wastewater at the entrance of treatment plants. It is an essential part of the mechanical treatment package in wastewater treatment plants.
The screening plates installed on this device have gaps ranging from 6 to 20 millimeters, and the amount of debris collected from the wastewater varies based on these gaps. Solid waste remains on the surface and between the layers of the screening plates, and the cleaning of the surface and the filter plate openings, as well as the transport of debris to the upper discharge area, is carried out by rakes.
By removing solid waste from the wastewater, the multi-rake screen protects the downstream equipment from clogging, thus increasing their lifespan and improving the overall quality of wastewater treatment.
